MEET OUR TEAM

Lindy Dewey Owner of SpiritWorks LLC

Lindy has been known to be a mistress of magic and manifestation.   She is Founder of SpiritWorks Trilogy, mother of three grown sons and a seasoned healing arts practitioner with craniosacral and polarity therapies.  She relocated to NW Montana from Vermont in 2008.  She enjoys vibrant health and the year-round outdoor recreational opportunities that are boundless next to and in the Crown Jewel of Glacier National Park.

SpiritWorks farming practices embrace the philosophies of organic farming, crop diversity, permaculture concepts, soil health, sustainability, wildcrafting, learning from research and observation, and listening to nature and each other.

Our agricultural practices incorporate companion planting, raised beds, intensive wide row planting, and design with function and beauty. Lindy likens herself to an artist using plants for paints and the land as her canvas.

Lindy has gardened and farmed most of her life in Northern New England, in the foothills of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Green Mountains of Vermont. She enjoys experimenting with what grows well in Montana and which shockingly has included artichokes and peaches.

The farm's production focus is medicinal herbs,  and food for those staff to consume.

Lindy has dedicated the property as a healing sanctuary with deep intent with a wide spectrum of healing arts and touch therapies that are available to those interested . Lindy aims tooffers health building resources that will stretch and expand your wellness and vitality.  A link to her healing arts practice can be found at www.spiritworks.us.

When not farming, recruiting new SpiritWorksers, and addressing the visibility and potential of our Retreat Center, Lindy can be found hiking, skiing, paddle boarding or knitting.

Darla Boley, Farm Manager

Darla Boley continues as our Farm Manager, leading us into her third year in this role.

Darla is passionate about connecting people to nature and using nature as medicine.

"I grew up in Minnesota. Got a degree in Geography with a Concentration in Environmental Studies at La Crosse, WI. After college I worked for the National Park Service as a summer seasonal and in the winter she worked at ski resorts. I got tired of the gypsy life style and settled down at the farm in 2022.
I love being outside! In the summer I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding and going to concerts. In the winter I enjoy snowboarding, ice skating and cross country skiing."

Darla's leadership with the farm has been well received by our volunteer and apprentice staff.  She is extremely knowledgeable, and brings a depth of care and humility to her role.

Darla has one roommate at the farm his name is Ginger. He is the resident mouse exterminator. He loves catnip and lying out in the sun!

Anna Prestegaard, Education & Community Engagement Strategist

Anna is an integral part of SpiritWorks’ mission to educate the local community about the medicinal properties of the potent herbs the farm grows. She designs and leads workshops, creates educational content, and builds valuable collaborations with local partners. Anna is deeply committed to expanding the apothecary’s reach by pursuing creative, plant-centered initiatives and fostering strong community connections to make herbal wellness accessible and impactful for all.

Anna has been drawn back to SpiritWorks time and time again, with stints away to finish her degree in Environmental Studies and care for farm animals at a sanctuary in upstate New York. With a passion for experimenting with herbs in cooking and baking, she loves showing others how to incorporate herbs into their daily lives. When she’s not planning events for the farm, you can probably find her in front of her sewing machine.

Anna began on the farm as a 2018 WWOOFer and has been a dedicated team member since 2022.  This season she has stepped into the roles of Education & Community Engagement Strategist. She is expanding our weekly herbal presentations (April–October) to include monthly workshops and wellness programs year-round covering a broad spectrum of topics. (Check our blog for updates!)
